Title: NEXO PS15R2 in active mode
Post by: Edvardas.Key on August 29, 2018, 09:53:16 AM
Hi, everyone,

first of all, sorry for my english :)
I own 2x nexo ps15r2 + nxamp 4x1. Does anyone tried to use this setup in active mode and can help me?
Thing is, that ive made comparison: 1st channel is in active mode (LF+HF) and speaker back is set in active mode. 2nd channel is in passive bridge mode. And what i noticed, that passive mode is MUCH more better sounds, than active mode. It feels, that acitve mode sound bad at all, there are no sub attack, highs are like mids. Its ugly. So, anyone, is this is normal? Why this is so bad in active mode? Even when i tried to add more gain or array eq in active mode LF and HF, everything came better, bet still if to compare with passive mode, there are no way, why to use in active mode.

I just dont understand, why active mode sounds so bad? Or im doing something wrong?
