Title: Fibre connector
Post by: Gary Fitzpatrick on May 23, 2019, 05:04:22 PM
Not strictly audio but for an audio visual system integration

Can anyone tell me what these fibre connectors are? (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190523/eed33f313a1f5ea71fbb4a5dec88a2c9.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190523/20af2021e25e8a59077e1869efcd8d11.jpg)

They look like LC connectors to me

Here's a handy guide I keep around for my day gig in IT

They look like standard duplex LC connectors on Multi-Mode 50/125 fiber.

The blue cable as has been said above is a duplex multi-mode cable terminated with LC connectors.  If you’re asking about the open port that’s a sfp slot which can take sfps for many different media types (in theory, could be mfgr dependent).

Thanks everyone for the replies. I thought from my own research that they were LC multiplex connectors.
There is a spare fibre pair using the same connectors that I want to use for a live video stream but the CCTV company don't want their system online. Thanks again

In case it comes up again, most video (SDI at least) uses single mode fiber.  There are converters out there but they are rare.  Getting your head around the different fiber types out there can be tricky at first but it’s important.
