Contemplating getting some new subs. I currently use EAW DCS2 subwoofers (4 of them in a block) and was thinking of going with something that can go lower (strong 30 hz) and I want to make sure they have plenty of impact too (chest thump)
Size / Weight not a big deal (Install). Would need to be at least as loud as the DCS2s (hopefully as efficient, but not super important)
Anybody have any suggestions on their favorites?

Okay,
What about a couple of Danley TH 412 cabinets ? According to their specs they extent below 30hz and, at more output than the B2s ? I've never heard them, but, according to a few friends, they are more than adequate for a club.

Not sure whether they have reached you yet - Outline Lab 21 HS or HS SP. Haven't heard them, so not a recommendation. You might also check with Martin Audio if they are releasing anything this month at Frankfurt.

B2's dont have a strong 30Hz. They do 40 but not 30. Their output is quite reduced in infra mode and they lose the thump too in infra mode. The thump is in the 70-120Hz region.

What sort of music?
some subs really "thump" but are not very musical for other styles.
See if you can get a listen to the Martin ASX. Very high output, -3 at 30Hz. Self powered, built in DSP that's tuneable. May do what you need.

Rat Super Subs. Center tuned at 32Hz with a low cutoff at 20Hz, solidly usable down to 25Hz. They use a pair of RCF 18s with the 4.5" voice coil. Run up to 3 boxes off of one Lab fP6400. Preferred processing is any recent XTA model.
