Title: Difficult night, need a distraction.
Post by: Nitin Sidhu on May 06, 2016, 01:55:28 PM
Just back after starting a gig.
RCBO would not stop tripping. Eventually managed to get it stable with just 1 active monitor running on stage. Even patching the Qu24, additional PRX612m would just trip it.  All measured and seemingly well. Maybe faulty RCBO now, Maybe a bad LED par can, leaking 25ma till the additional monitor leaks another 10.

Really dunno. All well worked till yesterday. Instructions to crew to not deploy rig without RCBO, I today realized how difficult that can be. Probably will not get a call back.

However, this did grab my attention earlier today. For all the ridiculous toys and demands I meet with. Bands in bars want 6+ mixes on stage and 32 channels to mix. they have invented something called ironing tongs for hair. Of course the girls want to now iron their hair if its curly, or curl them if straight. Im sure im atleast 20yrs behind the fashion curve, Sorry Debbie.

Explain the attachment please. I can understand there being code that equipment with double isolated chassis need not have a ground wire (i dont know why, and definitely not the case here. Metal housing lamps with 2 prong plugs etc.) But why deny earth to any equipment.

Thank you all again for letting me rant.
