Hi,
I've got a pair of JBL JRX 125's and a Mackie PPM1012 800w powered mixer
Been using them for just under a year now
Would appreciate your thoughts about this setup

Since you already own it-what do YOU think about it? How do YOU use it?
It has always seemed strange to me that people will buy gear AND THEN ask what people think about it.
How are you going to use the information?
That is my opinion-others will vary.
It is as if they are looking for "confirmation".

Consensus says any JRX cab is junk. Also a powered mixer is very limited in expandability should you plan to upgrade in the future.

Are you happy with how it's been working out for you?
If your wanting to buy new speakers... be ready with Budget $$$ and what you plan on doing with the speakers.

I still have entry-level speakers and a couple of "lunch box" powered mixers that I used for my duos and trios back in the day. They worked for what I needed and still rent out as "user-operable" systems a few times a year.
BTW, I still have push lawn mower. It works fine and is nice and quiet.

My first monitors were some yamaha SMIVs and some JBL "Sound Forge" 12's, which as far as I can tell, looked exactly like JRX and performed similarly.
I regularly got compliments on the monitor mix, and they went well with the level of gear they accompanied: a 1604 mixer, and a crown power base amp. They did the trick for a few years while I learned how to use them. I sold them off when I decided I wanted all one make/model.
Good luck, let us know how they are working for you...

This is the review forum, and you have owned them for a year. What do you think of them? Or are you looking for some confirmation of your purchase now that you have found their limitations?

What Tim means is that WE expect YOU to write a review here since you have experience with them.
So, what do you say?
