Very possibly.  Tycobrahe combined several of its top touring acts PA systems when it did Call Jam.  I don't remember how many-but Purple was one of them.

I've got some photos all over the walls in one of our restrooms of old PA systems-and there are some closeups of the PA stackedup and far shots of the crowd.

The delay towers were 1000' from the stage and the crowd went back well over another 1000' past the delays.  A whole mess of people.

There are some videos on youtube from the concert-the setup etc.
