Title: Yamaha MG24/14fx Insert Issue
Post by: alexbaumgarten on June 25, 2019, 10:40:51 AM
Maybe it's just wired this way but whenever i plug an insert into a channel it bypasses the onboard eq. Is there a problem or is that how it was built? I'm used to soundcraft boards where I can use the onboard eq after inserting. I read the yamaha mg24 manual could not find anything. Please help!

2nd to last page of the manual shows the signal path diagram.  There's also an isolated mono channel flow diagram on page 12.  Both show the insert is after the EQ.  So yes, there's something wrong with your setup.
