We have just had two EV 400 watt speakers hard wired into our school performance area.
They are hooked up with a speakon jack.
That is all we have.
It is a small area.
I need recommendations on the proper mixer, cable to the speakon connector and good reliable headset wireless microphone.
The speakers are overkill for that area. It will mainly be used for speaking engagements. Sometimes for audio from a movie or computer source.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
John

Would need a lot more information such as budget and such and you will likely get the advice to hire a consultant / av integrator since it seems your technical know how isn't great.
A drawing of the space is also usually quite useful
What model is those EV speakers that 400w could be peak or program power?
Have you got some sort of wireing diagram for the cabling already install/is there any cabling installed?
You say that 2 EV loudspeakers were just hard wired into your performance area, who did this and why don't you get that company/person to complete the rest of the installations

How do you end up with 2 speakers that are wired in and nothing else?
What other gear you need depends on what you plan on using the system for-how many inputs? what type of inputs? mics-video-audio playback-instruments etc
