Title: K&K clip on mics for toms or piano?
Post by: Marsellus Fariss on April 12, 2011, 09:04:17 PM
K&K (the pickup company) makes a couple real affordable clip on style microphones for sax, percussion, and stringed instruments called the Silver Bullet and Golden Bullet. One is hyper and the other is cardioid. They both are externally powered by little pre-amp boxes and have XLR or 1/4 outputs.

I've used the silver bullet internally on several guitars I own in congress with a pickup and I've had several artists come through using them as well and have not been disappointed.

I'm wondering if anybody has used these on toms or pianos or other applications where you'd use a mini condenser and what your experiences where.
