Title: Equation audio mics
Post by: Gabriel Duschinsky on August 06, 2007, 05:21:00 PM
I've heard some real good talks about these relatively new mics from some engineers I work with, and was wondering if any of you had an opinion about them?

I mean, for about 250$CAN you get a 7-mic drum package...it doesn't look as if you could go wrong...

Is this another "you get what you pay for, period", or some undiscovered wonder?

Gabriel.

We've used that particular drum mic package and have been nothing less than impressed.  They've got some nice sounding vocal mics (DS-V7 and DS-V10) that we've used for some high-level regional and smaller nationals who have been pleased.  Most of the time, we get asked what they are and where they can buy them.  They've got some really nice headphones that we've been using exclusively with our FOH/MON rigs.

After using their gear for about 6 months, we've decided to become a dealer.  We don't become a dealer for stuff unless we find something worth selling/installing from their line.
