Title: Anyone have a scan of the Forum in LA?
Post by: Ike Zimbel on April 18, 2017, 10:15:43 AM
Title says it all. I found one taken outside the venue in the IAS db, nothing on the inside or outside on Pete's site (I intend to rectify that when I get there next week...).
Thanks,
Ike

I don't think I saved mine, but I was there last summer.  All I can remember is that I had 20 RF Mics and 10 sets of IEM and don't recall being worried at all.  I do remember that is was far easier in the Forum in LA, than the previous show that was in Oakland.  I feel like that building had good shielding and I had a bunch of usable channels that IAS didn't think I would have.

Sorry I couldn't be more help!

Thanks Elliot, that's a good start.! If you do find your IAS file, I'd love to see the graph portion, even without a scan. I'm going to have something north of 70 freq's to deal with in there.

Hey Ike,

I dug through my files and it looks like I didn't hang onto it.  Which bodes well for you, because I only hang on to IAS files where things got complicated :)

Thanks anyway. I did get a scan from another colleague today and you are correct, there's not much going on in there except a couple of DTV channels.
Best,
Ike

Just sent you the TTi files from the IAS scan you found.  As I didn't get inside I didn't send it to Pete.

Thanks Mike. I'll try and put up inside / outside scans next week.

Here's the inside and outside scans. They are already in the IAS db, and I will send them to Pete when I get a chance. Quite a difference between the two. This is a really good illustration of why you DO NOT want extra gain on your Rx antennas if you don't need it.

Rehearsals going pretty well. Exactly 100 freq's in my coordination, at the moment.
