I need to replace the 12" driver on my FBT Hi-Maxx40a powered cabinet. I know it's a B&C woofer, but not sure which model. Does anyone know anything on this, before I pay a ridiculous amount directly to FBT-USA for a replacement driver?

Do you have a photo or any numbers that are on the driver?
B&C makes a lot of custom drivers for various manufacturers, while other use standard-off the shelf drivers.
B&C drivers are typically not "inexpensive".
More information would help to "narrow it down"
Of course even if it looks the same as a standard driver on the outside-it could be hard to tell if it is custom on the inside.
Maybe if you cut it apart and post some photos, and those could be compared to other "known" B&C drivers.
To at least narrow it down to possible model numbers
