On the high end I will either high shelf, or low pass, the top end of electric guitars. I HATE going to a show where the electric guitars get washed out in a haze of high frequencies "hhhhhhzzzzzzz/hissssss" above about 5k. That hash ruins the top end of the mix for cymbals/vocals/piano/snare, and I find very fatiguing on the ears. |
