Title: Allen & Heath ME Personal Monitor - Experience?
Post by: Jason Andreasen on March 29, 2013, 04:10:59 PM
Has anyone had any experience with the new A&H PM system yet?  I realize it's very new, but it seems really slick.  We currently use the Aviom system, which works relatively well, but occasionally it will show it's limitations (this weekend for example... Easter services with more people on stage than normal, and I'm limited to 16 channels, and no more subs/aux's left on the board).  The A&H allows for 40 channels, in what appears to be a very user-friendly package.  Pricing doesn't even seem too bad - slightly more expensive than Aviom, but only by a little.  Looks like some additional features are available if you're using an A&H console (channel names, etc).

Other than the Roland M48s I've yet to find another system that has such a high channel count and feature set than the A&H ME. I actually proposed the idea of selling the Roland mixer and getting a GLD plus ME system, but they're going with the M48s. Avoids the hastle of selling a console.
