if 120' means 120 feet (i'm from the metric side of the world), then 120' that's quite deep for a(ny) stacked setup

Yeah, but it's only 36m.

These days, for common usage, the isn't a compelling reason to have an isolated split.  I do run across the Seismic splitters fairly often and many times there is a bad channel or two.  These are band owned splits and don't see much maintenance.  I think they can be okay is they are handled with care and see maintenance as needed.  I would probably switch out the connectors for better quality as the need repair.  My first spilt was a 10 ft long, 16 channel snake cable, males on one end and a pair of wyed females on the other.  It served me well for many years and as far as I know a friend is still using it.

Hold on..... it's DMX cable that can be used for AES?  I have lots of those!!!

Both AES and DMX spec 110-Ohm cable (vs 75-ish Ohm for regular ol' analog audio cable). So yes, a 3-pin DMX cable is essentially the same as an AES compliant XLR cable.

Will regular analog audio cable work for AES or DMX? Sure, but as with most failures in the digital world, if/when it fails, it will be very noticeable.

Like Tim said, Cat cable is also generally 110-Ohms, which makes it a good candidate for AES, DMX, analog audio, etc, hence the popularity of "Catapult" convertors these days.

you can have that rig on a single LA4x, no need for 2.
that said for a small rig like this you can better go for 1 A10 focus & 1 A10 wide per side, gives you more and (in my opinion) better options. get the proper stacking
read through the manual for rigging (and stacking!) options, then you have a bit more of a clue what to expect.

Hey guys.

Do any of you have one of these? What do you think of it? Pros? Cons?  A friend of mine says that it has some "weird" fader issues.  My Sweetwater guy was not a lot of help. He just said that it had some "kinks" that needed to be worked out.

Thanks.
Scott
Been installing them in small bar systems.  Best bang for the buck in small utility mixers but unlike similar priced analog models provides much more comprehensive EQ along with dynamics -which no other install "mixer" type product provides yet is probably the one most needed thing in unattended installations.
Does what it says it does and seems to be holding the settings fine on even my oldest installed unit.

I’m interested to hear how these pair with the 905as mk3 sub compared to the HD10a mkV or NX10a.

Found this.. https://www.simplyspeakers.com/yamaha-replacement-speaker-diaphragm-psd2013-8dia.html
Makes sense that it is Eminence as Yamaha has been using them for OEM drivers for quite some time and that there is/was a replacement diaphram available at one point. It shows as unavailable or backordered everywehere I look except USSpeaker which appear to have the driver and diaphrams available..
As far as chipped cabinet I use bondo to fix the cabinets.  Any resin/fiberglass product should work fine.  Just gob it on then sand to match and paint.

I am in need of an amp.   I have had no luck finding one so that speaker has been under the bench for a year.

Hi John, I agree with Art - definitely don't scrap the whole cabinet.  The QSC HPR Series uses analog amps which to my understanding are essentially plate versions of the QSC RMX Series.  My guess is that given the simplicity of analog amps combined with the prevalence QSC RMX amps, any competent repair shop should be able to diagnose and repair the unit without much struggle.  Alternatively, you can always pull the amp off and try to do this yourself.  Hope this helps!
I am almost sure that the HPR and KW Amos are dimensionally the same.

Look on eBay and find the KW replacement amp with the powercons.  They work great we have been super happy.

Scott and Mike, I did consider it, but the thought of re-drilling the panel, or the connectors with holes so close (or even overlapping) just didn't interest me for a 5 degree mounting difference.... Soooo, crooked they are.

All connections on he I/O panel are soldered, with the appropriate connectors on the end of each cable.

The way I wired the XLR's, there is Input A and B to the crossover, and a separate input direct to each side of the MX-1500.  Sometimes i rented extra boxes that were full range, so no screwing around inside the rack. Plug and play. On the Neutrics, output 1+ and 1- was the 1500, 2+ and 2- the Peavey.

It's only been working fine for 25 years......   ;D
Chris.
I was more having fun with my OCD than your assembly skills.

I am sure the panels are rock solid!

Another Minority fan we are also dealers for them.  We have IEM’s in our rental inventory and they hold up just fine.
