Being a new Dad does not allow me as much time these days to stop in and hear the new things develping at Power Pod Audio, BUT, I did drop by last week and I was very impressed with the new 8.1 Pro Spot monitor.
List is in the 800 range if I had to ballpark it.
I demo'd the biamped version. VERY small footprint!
Carpeted cab with the 8 inch driver and the amps control plate on the face. Heard dry vocals and 2 CDs (Eagles Live and Steely Dan) thru it. Could not drive it to clip - it just kept getting louder.
I think this little powered box is going to make a nice addition to smaller stages and tighter front lips where there just isnt the need or the space for a conventional 12/horn or 15 inch wedge.
Cabinet specs should be on his web site soon.
For now they simply have the photo.

Randy stated that they should have an economy and a pro version of this monitor.
Painted or Carpeted. Biamped or Full Range.
Two diff. levels of driver too.
Will post again if I am able to get one out of the shop and on stage with me.
