Can anyone tell me what went wrong with the Jumbotron audio at the Washington Monument? It sounds like a crazy random harmonizer on everything... My friends that were there said it went on like this all day!!
A digital audio signal that was randomly switching sampling rates?

Just so you know, Jumbotrons haven't been made in over ten years. It's like calling every car you see an S-10. Or calling every soda a coke....vanilla.

sounds like the RF was dropping out.

Sorry, I'm not really a video guy. That's what the folks who posted the video on YouTube were calling it - I guess Jumbotron has become the generic name. What do you call those big screens these days?

Yeah, audio is dropping out, but also pitch shifting wildly all over the place. When I've had RF drop outs, I've just lost audio for a bit, not had crazy pitch shifts that sound like a Skrillex remix. Is that what happens with digital RF when it drops out? Yikes.
