Title: Low cost antenna distribution
Post by: John Woodfield on January 15, 2020, 08:10:06 PM
Looking for 24 channels wide-band UHF. Lowest I have found is around $2k. Before I go that route, anyone have any other options? I would prefer not to daisy chain.

Check out the RF Venue stuff. Might require daisy chaining. The Rf distro is not really cheap but assuming each of your wireless is in the 1k range and you have 24 units whats another 2k  ;D

Ebay.  There really isn't much to go wrong with an antenna distro.

As suggested by ( Henry..I think) start with a high quality passive 3 way splitter into the 3, 8 ch active distros.
I can't remember the specific device but it was from Mini Circuits.

These are the mini-circuit splitters we use ZFSC-3-1W+ .  One thing of note is that you do need to load all three output ports on the splitter. It gets very peculiar when using a three way split as a two way.  We use the basic Shure two way splitters for that.
