Personally I like this new forum's technology. And I'm glad to see many of the original LAB members have joined up.

But of course, it's the one's who haven't joined yet....I hope they come back.

I definitely like the GUI - much easier to navigate posts on really active topics. And it tells idiots like me which topics I've read so I don't keep clicking the same one over and over  Smile

I'm liking it the more I use it.

I like the threaded topics and flat thread view.

Some minor niggles that are most likely due to my browser.

Everything about is awesome, except the address for the Classic LAB. I used to set that as my homepage, (www.live-audio.com) but now its this crazy address thats 2 kilometres long.

Anyway, if thats the only problem, then I can deal with it.

Actually a short address to the new forums is available. Just type srforums.prosoundweb.com. If your browser functions like many of the other out there, all you have to do is start typing the first few letters of the name and it will fill in the rest for you, if you have visited the LAB recently.

I've got it down to command-N (opens new browser window), command-L (highlights address), I then type "sr" wait about a half a second and hit enter, and it take me right to the LAB.

Title: Bubbles!

Hey Lee

Is that Bubbles that you're using for your avatar? 'Trailer Park Boys' is the first tv show that I've gotten in to in years. I laugh so hard that I end up in tears. I've been waiting for the new season for so long, and it was worth it.

I'm not talking about the all the SR forums, just the Classic Lab page. The link for that is this

Thats what I was talking about.

Yeah, it's bubbles.
I have the first 2 seasons on DVD and all the episodes downloaded on my pc. It is my favorite show on tv right now.
Earlier this summer, I was visiting friends in Digby, Nova Scotia and ran into them at this amazing resort there. They are hilarious.

btw. Reveen is a real person, and does look exactly like Ricky.

I personally like the new look of the lab.  Having all of the forums in one place is pretty nice too.

I much prefer the old one.  Hit "last two days", scan down the page, nice & quick, with text that scales up in size.

I have to admit, its growing on me.

I was resistant at first but now its old hat.

Can someone explain what the yellow lightbulb in my messages indicates?  I notice some folks have white lightbulbs.  Where is the "glossary", if you will, for all these symbols?

I also attempted to post a JPEG which followed all the rules (right size, type, etc.) but when I previewed my message, it was just a big red X in a white square.

Any ideas??

Fig,

I posted a JPEG and the preview just showed a big red X also.
The pic came out find in the post.
Guess we're not supposed to see them in the preview.
