Title: What is your favorite LED par or bar and why?

I'm currently using some "China direct" 3x36 LED pars.  They've made me some money, but not without several minor repairs.  I'm looking for the "next best thing".  I'm not concerned with riders at this time.  I would like a consistent and reliable fixture that will hopefully be available for a few short years, so I can add to inventory as needed.

You didn't list a price range, but for inexpensive I'd go with MegaSystems. I've got their Par28 and Mega Bar and they smoke my ADJ Pro64s. They also have great customer support.

For the high end, look at Lightronics. I've compared them side by side to ETC fixtures. They are definitely the best bang for the buck. Really incredible.

ADJ Mega Tri Bars for now. Great output and very useful eye-candy macros. Elation had some incredibly bright fixtures at PLASA, but the $$ was completely out of range of any of my clients. Of course, the Mega Tri Bars are out of range for most of my clients as well. None of the older fixtures can compare to the newer stuff, period. You can either get better outpu for the same $$ or the same output for much less $$$.

I really like pixel line 1044s, but they aren't cheap

they're great to make video based LED effects over

as far as lower budget stuff, blizzard makes a 7 cell LED bar that I like for the same purpose, and there's a lot of nice micro LED pars as well

The Wybron Cygnus VN200 has my vote, but that is also a ~$2000 fixture.

What is your price range?

For the everyday LED par, I'd look into the COLORado series from Chauvet.

For my purposes, let's look at the $750 range and the $375 range.  I'd like to consider longevity of the product also.  I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for".  So, I'm willing to spend more if it's worth it in the long run, but current demand is keeping me in these ranges.

I still like the colorblaze - but man its a beast!

For a low cost tricolor option I have had these for a while and I really like them - super bright!
