Title: FYI: Charlotte LAB Search Results problem
Post by: Dietrich Sider on April 24, 2004, 05:57:30 PM
Just a heads up for those searching the old LAB using Charlotte.
http://www.roaddog.com/search/swish.cgi?

Search results for postings on the old main page don't appear. I'm assuming that's because the old links that Charlotte followed when indexing no longer work due to the changeover process.

Search results of postings in the archives still work fine.

Maybe the new Full Archive search can fill in the gaps? http://www.live-audio.com/swish-all-cgi.pl

Yep, that's exactly what's happened, and I should have posted it.  The same thing will happen with some Google and Yahoo search results.  Those are the most recent posts under the old search interface.  I was going to use the current indexes in Charlotte, but there were some differences and they don't work just yet.  It was one of those "Oh Shit!" last minute moments.  It will be a week or two before Charlotte is updated and the new LAB interface (like Charlotte) will be online.  I'm gigging next week but will be checking in several times a day.  If I can get some broadband during travel time I'll work on it but it probably be for a week or so until I get it sorted.
