Title: Midas Legend 3000 Issues
Post by: Gary Ashton on February 13, 2018, 06:57:24 AM
Hi everyone,
Does anyone have a Midas Legend 3000 Service Manual or can give me a link to one?

I have one of these consoles sitting in our hire warehouse with various faults. I need the manual to sort it out. Music Group have flatly refused to release this to me even though the console is effectively obsolete now. I don't understand this policy. I now have several thousand pounds worth of console sitting there that I can't use - and Music Group seem to think that's ok! It's not, and I need to fix it.

I can't even send it to them without a huge expense as I'm in Malta. Shipping will cost me a fortune - and if I get it to them they can easily then tell me that parts are not available and it can't be fixed. Returning it would be stupid. They don't - or won't understand this so I need to get a manual that is already out there to help me to repair it. In truth, I can probably fix it without the manual but I don't want to take it apart and then realise I need it!

Can anyone help out here?  If Uli Behringer gets to read this... How about it Uli? This policy of your doesn't work. It's really not fair to your customers and is the wrong thing to do.

Anyone?

Gary, you might want to take another run at this with Midas via email.  I just got the Owners Manual and Service Manual for a Midas XL200 two weeks ago.  I sent in an email request and they sent them both back to me in PDF form.  Do you know if your request went to the US service center or to a different one?

Hey Bill,

Thanks for replying. I dealt with the European service guys. Very obstructive.

Maybe the US service center are different. It's worth a go I guess. Do you happen to know which address you used to get your stuff?

Cheers,

Gary

Anyone?

Email Jim Sawyer [email protected].  He probably knows more about repairing Midas gear than anyone.

Yup. Jim has been extremely helpful! Good guy to know!

he can't give me a manual but he's offered to help with the repairs as I go along. Thanks Jim!
