Title: WYSIWYG lighting design software packages
Post by: Hal Harrison on September 30, 2011, 09:27:15 AM
Hello all,

I am looking for suggestions on different WYSIWYG lighting design software packages. I have a Leprecon LP-X24 and would like for something to interface with it so I can build some virtual lighting designs.

Thanks
Hal Harrison

well, options with a dmx in will be quite expensive, as the Leprecon LP-X24 doesn't output artnet or support networking via Cat5/6...that limits your options to;

wysiwyg perform w/ wyg-it2
and
esp vision v/ VBox

as the two 'big' ones...

there's also microlux professional suite w/ vision + dmx adaptor which is under the $3000 price range, but I have no idea how good it is. Based on the screenshots of the software they have on their site it doesn't look like something I'd want to show a client.
