Chyron is currently providing 25 dual channel ChyTv Video Emergency and Security Alert systems to a Federal Government user with a option of increasing to a total of 60 systems. The purpose is to give security personal access to a large complex (couple of buildings) to alert via existing cable and internet services any emergency that may arise, ie: fire, evacuate building, lock down of building, etc. We have written a customer GUI front end for this specific customer at their request to simplify the entry of information at additional cost. In general this customer has a 85 channel CATV system servicing a number of buildings. The incoming RF signals are demoded inserted into ChyTV remodulated and sent out to the respective channels. The content for the ChyTV is preprogrammed by the security operation using Power Point and saved to a central CPU with ChyTools software. All of the ChyTv systems are on a common ethernet and are addressable by individual IP address, in groups or in total via the central CPU, all input for call up is from locations around the complex via a hot key selection to call up a menu to select the information to be sent to whatever destination is desired. In addition the output is also being streamed via a web server to the total intranet service for display on all PC's. Long term intent is to add Teletext input to the system ( this part is being explored by the end user).
