Title: Crown, Crest, QSC.. or?
Post by: David Gunnardo on April 18, 2004, 06:31:08 PM
I'm searching for a nice amplifier, model cheaper..

Which of these would you recommend:
CROWN XLS
Crest CPX
QSC RMX

of course there are more alternatives. If you know any other amplifiers that are better than these (but can be bought with the same amount of money) then write!

What's the application?  How much AC power will be available?  What will the environment be?

There is to be 2 amps (at the moment. three later when i have more money). One for my two 1x18" RCF subs (esw1018) and one for two fullrange passive crossovered speakers (or tops). At the moment it seems like there will be a coaxial speaker with 15"+1".

There will be 230V/16A most times.

The "worst" thing they're gonna do is to have a local rockband playing in smaller places (like 200people or so).

There will also be for some events outdoors, like choirs, speach, live country music..
