Why?
Do you own them?

Do you own them?
Nope.

But your post is waaay too vague to really yield results.

Are you interested in purchasing them, and thus want a demo from another user in your area?
Are you interested in purchasing them and want to know how they sound, how easily they rig/deploy, or otherwise some other detail about the rig?
Are you interested in purchasing them, and want to know how they compare to (anything else in the world)?
Do you already own them, and just want to build a referral network, and thus looking for other owners in your area?
Do you own them, something's not working as you'd expect it, and you want to know if it's a "feature," a known bug, or you might have discovered something new about them?
Do you own them, and are having some other sort of problem, and want to see if someone can help you figure it out?

My point: Give people a reason to respond to your question/thread other than just asking "Looking for owners of these please." like a popularity quiz on a middle school bus!  :)

To be honest I don't agree. When somebody answers that owns them, I would then ask them the question. My reason for this is I've put the full post on to everyone and had nothing but abuse from members, numerous times, and actually wasn't looking forward to posting here again.
However to answer your question, I own them but do not own the controller for them, so I am hoping someone would be kind enough to have a look at there settings so that I can input them into my xta. Coda do not give out the information, the digital controller is almost £1000 and the analogue version just does not come up for sale. I've managed to get them half way there, but I know the correct presets would yield much better results.

Hi Jamie,

I'm sorry that you've appeared to have had bad experiences on here in the past! But, here's why I said what I said--- by posing your question from the start, you do several things:
- You allow for a faster response from someone who owns them (or might otherwise be able to help you work out the settings you're looking for)
- To add to that, if, say, someone only comes on here once a week, and they respond "Why yes, I own those" and then don't come back for a week, well, now you've extended the amount of time it'll take to get an answer. [And if the thread has dropped to the second page, they might not see it on their subsequent visit!]
- The SEO of the page / post increases, which is good for the entire website. It'll be deemed "more authoritative."

Anyways, here's hoping that Coda hasn't blackboxed the settings in their processors!

An aside: If you keep your response outside of the [quote] and [/quote] tags, it's easier to read your replies! :)

You might find that as it’s a discontinued product Coda may be prepared to give you some details.  If not, with decent software like smaart or rew you should be able to get excellent results, (if you know what you are looking at).  I suspect the original spec tells you the crossover point, which makes things a lot easier.  Outside of this, just shy of £1,000 isn’t much to buy something dedicated to maximising your foh speakers,  if you are that worried about the costs, buy one, copy the settings and sell it again.

unfortunately coda will not give me any info. And no crossover points on the specs either. Very vague. From what I've managed to find out, they cross at 700hz from the dual 12s to the 4590 but I've also found what appears to be presets but I'm not convinced. These presets have the 12s crossed at 800hz and the 4590 at 1.4k both in 18db Butterworth slopes. I'm afraid I don't have £1000 to spend, especially when I already have an xta and just need the settings. I've used smaart a few times but just don't understand enough to correctly align the system.

I wanted to see what your previous experience was.  You posted under a different user?

Maybe he got bent about being asked to clarify his displayed name?  If not it appears he got treated well and received answers and advice to his previous posts.

Coda isn't an exceptionally popular brand here in the US.  Jamie might get more traction in the Blue Room forums.

Coda is the systems company associated with BMS, who makes the drivers. A lot of folks here, myself included, like BMS. I've been curious about Coda, too, but, as Tim says, you don't see it much (ever?) in the States. --Frank

Coda had a demo room at infocomm this year.   First time I have seen them there.  It was exceptional.

actually it was a different account. I asked for advice regarding smaart amongst other things as i know what i want to achieve but struggle when it comes to understanding what im seeing, and was basically just told to go on a course and if I don't understand through Google search then I shouldn't be doing it at all.

Jamie.  A Google search is hardly an academic pursuit.  SMAART is a complex tool and the results require careful interpretation.

The two classes are 2 weeks and that would scratch the surface.

I have 4 decades of electronic and systems engineering experience and self taught SMAART use is just scratching the surface.

Acoustic engineering is a complex subject,  no path to immediate gratification is available.  Trying to reengineer a system that a team of engineers designed is unlikely to yield acceptable results.

I seriously doubt the procesor settings are simple direct functions.

I think you've misunderstood me. I was answering someone's comment regarding the response I had in the past on here. I don't intend to 're engineer the codas with smaart. I was asking for a bit more understanding of what I was seeing and posted screenshots of my ffts egg, and the response was basically we won't help you, you need to Google it, and if you can't understand from that then you shouldn't be doing it.
In regards to the codas, I have found one document that seems to give the presets for the rx40s but I'm a bit sceptical of it's authenticity. Basically it is crossing from the dual 12s at 809hz 18db Butterworth, and from the compression at 1.4k 18db Butterworth. 1 eq on the 12s, -4db at 500hz, and 2 eqs on the compression, -4db at 4k and +3db at 14k.  0.3ms delay on the 12s. If that's correct then there really isn't much going on in the controller. The controller for them was the analogue ac24, which was later replaced with the dc26 digital controller.

Coda is developing a US presence..starting with Infocomm as noted earlier.
They have appointed reps & hired Jeff..formerly of VUE..to develop sales in US
I haven't heard them but am interested in learning more.
Any Coda product, including discontinued..that sounds good can serve as 'emissary' for the brand. You don't say where you are but if in US Jeff might be able to get the info you need.
A little goodwill can reap rewards.

Why are you skeptical about the presets?
Have you tried it yet? How does it sound to you?

I believe the OP is looking for the actual information to punch into a processor, not possessing the genuine Coda processor to use.
