I cannot believe I just heard this guy say that! The powers that be at Carvin (whomever they are these days) should address this before anyone takes this advice seriously.

so why get ear molds if you're just not going to wear them....
if ambient audio is important, some ears, like Future Sonics, can take changeable ports to control the amount.

He did say to remove or just loosen the a bit not "not wear them"
My take is this is a temporary thing to get used to the IEM isolation.
Not an unreasonable suggestion for some people that are new to IEMs that are not equipped like the Future Sonics.

My point is that this is a dangerous practice - temporary or not - and is well documented by professionals (doctors included). At no point does the presenter in the video even mention this. This is a Carvin training/information video and should be more responsible when it comes down to keeping our hearing safe from damage.
