Title: Bss 9010 unit not connecting
Post by: Gary-Fitzpatrick on August 25, 2017, 04:54:26 AM
Hi,
I have a BSS 9088 and a SW9010 unit. I can't communicate properly with the 9088 unit and have it programmed and working perfect. However, I cannot communicate with the 9010 remote. I have tried a crossover cat5 and straight through cat5 but neither seem to work. Sound web designer keeps saying it cannot find the 9010. Any ideas?

Do you mean that you CAN connect properly to the 9088 but cannot connect to the 9010?
The 9010 requires external power.
Network in/out require straight through wiring of the connectors.
See the installation guide linked below.

All of these devices are very old and most installations using this series are experiencing non-repairable failures on a regular basis.  If this is for other than learning you will want to be sure to have spare units on hand (that are known to be functional) if reliable functioning is a critical.
