UCS1P Yorkville Sub
« on: January 07, 2008, 08:51:00 PM »

I just received my UCS1P. I've been waiting since August.  Have not had a chance to listen to it yet. Has anyone reviewed the real thing yet?
Thanks.

If you click on Evan's name, you can get a list of his posts.  Look for the Maryland sub shootout/party/picnic/hootnany.

You can also use the "Search the Forum" link in the left-hand nav pane.  Use the model number as your search term and see what you get.  Try "yorkville sub" to get lots more.

When you get over the "new" of your purchase, consider writing a review for the Product Review Forum.

Have fun, good luck.

Hi Tim,
He is looking for reviews on the UCS1P, which is Yorkville's powered version of the UCS1. We tested the UCS1 at the shootout, as the UCS1p was not shipping yet. I dont think he will be able to find anything on them, as they have just started shipping. It will probably be a few months before people on the forums buy them and have time to start reviewing them.

Yorkville says they are a nice step up from the UCS1. Slightly larger cabinet, better LF response, more SPL and a better driver. Only downside is that they wont play with the passive UCS1's.

So...hook 'em up, do some listening, and give us a review!  Cool

I'm sure there's many on this board who are looking for a real world take on these subs.

If you're taking orders  Very Happy

-A/B with the passive UCS1's would be cool; singly, in pairs, and quads (mouths coupled)

Any word on the performance of these?  I'm debating between the LS800p's and these UCS1p's.

I purchased mine from Casey Pitchford at Touch Audio in New York.  First round of UCS1PBs should be going out today, I expect to have mine sometime next week.  Can't give an A/B comparison, but will let you know a bit more once I have them.
