Shameful, scary, sobering.
« on: January 03, 2008, 09:30:08 PM »

While many of us were getting our degree, marrying, raising a family, starting a career, traveling, working, playing, etc., this guy was sitting in jail for a crime he did not commit.  He will never regain what should have been the best years of his life.

Scarier is that he is just one of many who have been proven innocent by the Innocence Project folks, after having been convicted fairly and squarely by the system.

The corollary of this is that there is a strong possibility that many people over the years have either served time or had a state assisted death as punishment for crimes they did not commit.
