Member List?
« on: November 21, 2007, 05:33:26 PM »

How does one find the Member List here? The Faq implies this is do-able, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how...

All the other forums at PSW have member lists, the SR forums do not. While I am sure all the data is sitting there, and available to the administrators, it is not available to members.

Not to rain on your parade, but a directory of people who want to be in the directory is different than a member directory of the live sound forums at PSW. There are over 50,000 members at PSW, although many of them are not active. The management of the forums made a conscious decision to not display the member list of the live audio forums. They are open in the other forums.

I am quite aware, I am looking at developing a symbol for PSW members.
It wasn't really my intent to list all the LAB members, I figure that most of the active people would probably join the site.(minus a few difficult ones)

Mac,

I'm curious what influenced this decision that it was made differently for the Live forums vs the other recording forums?

Thanks,

Philip,

That question would be better put to Dave Stevens as it was way before my official involvement with the forums. There is still a listing of all the members who have been signed on in current day.

Good question. I have turned the members listing on for registered members. For all I know it was an oversight, accident, or decision made years back, but I don't see the sense of it since you can always click on a member's name to see his public profile. Anyway, unless Mark requests that I turn it back off, it's on.
