house of representatives PA System

I'm just wondering, what kind of system they use?  like mixer, mics and how they operate in order of use the mic system, is there an operator or how that work?

I believe they are using a computer based system with hundreds of zones. Original work done by Peak Audio, but now under Media Matrix ,  last I heard.

Last time I sat in the Gallery for I believe the House (although it may have been the senate) there was an operator sitting up in the corner (Left side as you face the speaker's seat) on a small format Yamaha Digital (either 01v(96?) or DM1000, I didn't look too close) .  He spent most of the time reading a book, but when the speaker changed from one podium to another he switched faders. 


This was a few years ago, so things may have changed since then.
