I'm looking for a flush wall mount speaker.
« on: September 18, 2007, 12:53:15 PM »

I have an install where the speaker needs to be in the wall, and needs to be flush mount.

Price range in the $100 dealer cost.  I'm perfectly willing to take on a new brand for this (or buy from someone else.)

Also needs to be 8ohms, not 70V.

Thought I found what I need in RCF, but my rep says I can't get their installation products in the US.  He referred me to Tannoy, they have a couple of wall mount speakers that look just right.

Although you haven't stated what the program source is, how large the space is and how much loud these need to get, I think that the $100. dealer cost range of products is pretty restricted in quality and capability.

Care to provide more info ?

Speaker needs to be in the wall- flush mount. Price range in the $100 dealer cost. Needs to be 8ohms, not 70V.

Geeze, has to be a million cheapo residential sound speakers out there that will fill that bill.
You just spec'd something from Radio Shack.  Rolling Eyes

Not sure if you were referring to $100 each or pair, but maybe some Boston Acoustics will help. As Bissinger pointed out, there's probably a lot of other options out there as well.

Sorry about the abruptness of my post.  I had been put into a situation that I needed to find a replacement product quickly, and I didn't take the time to detail the situation.

Ultimately I chose Yorkville's WM5T/70.  My company has a good report with Yorkville, and we had placed an order recently, so i just told them to toss them in with the order.

Sorry again for being vague.  The room is small, and not a "critical listening" environment.  They just want the speaker to be invisible.
