Sadly, it's true. A recently published statistic shows 50% of all US graduates did so in the bottom half of their class.  Shocked

LOL!

And I have been told that 4 out of 3 people have trouble with fractions.

And 87% of statistics are made up. Wink

Actually, a new study found that 99.9% of all statistics are false.

And they cause cancer.

The ignorance of the public is astounding.  56% of the audience got it wrong.

Yeah, that's what really bugs me. I mean, one guy having problem with the correct answer, might be stress given the circumstances yadda yadda..... But 56% of the public!!!!!

Now I'm waiting for examples of stupid blonde babes from Sweden Razz
Can't be that hard to find.....

The problem is they are asking the wrong questions - all they have to do is ask about Lindsay Lohan/Britney Spears/Michael Vick etc and I'm sure the results would have been a lot better. On a more serious note, I think part of the problem is too MUCH information for the average person to handle. The media CONSTANTLY bombards us with every last detail about the most mundane of events, while at the same time, it seems as if the technical/scientific part of the equation is being dumbed down further every year. For example, ever noticed how many technical/scientific books are left at the bookstores? Guess they don't sell very well.

My latest favorite is the DHMO hoax:

DHMO?  How much of that do you have to take before you hallucinate?  A gallon?  Two gallons? Laughing

Good thing they dam that stuff up so it doesn't pollute our environment, but what the hell are we gonna do with the oceans?

Tim "and it falls from the sky, too!" Mc

Statistics:   If 1/3 of all accidents are alcohol related, then that means that 2/3 of all accidents are caused by "sober people".  I say we should get the "sober people" off the roads!   Laughing

Doh!  Pulled over for sober driving once again!  Laughing

Tell me about it... I've got un-germinated grass seed in my yard I spread over a month ago.

The overnight dew from typical MS humidity keeps the established grass alive, but not much dew condenses on the seed.
