Getting Back into the SR Game
« on: September 07, 2007, 09:56:27 AM »

Hi People, I have been on an extended vacation (7 years), since receiving an inheritance, buying a sailboat, and taking off for the islands of the Caribbean.  I have had a wonderful time, but am about broke and need to get back to work.  I was last working in Washington State and now want to stay in the Southeastern US hopefully near the coast so I can enjoy and probably live aboard my boat.

I Posted a work wanted on LAB Marketplace: http://srforums.prosoundweb.com/index.php/t/26354/6639/
and have received one PM in response.

I know that this business is very much a word of mouth and who you know situation in terms of finding a position.
I have an updated resume to send to folks that might have an interest in knowing what my experience has been.
I am in the Virgin Islands and plan to come back to the mainland this fall after the threat of hurricanes is diminished....

Any ideas on how best to network and find a good opportunity?
(used to post more in the LAB when I was working and Carlson was hosting)
