Achtung ein, nicht drie bier (alt), bitter,,,  macht snell.

JR

Obviously the german version of the spell checker is not working yet on this forum  Laughing

Achtung ein, nicht drei Bier (alt) bitte, macht schnell.

So you want one, not three beers, and ask the waiter to hurry up?

Very Happy

Actually I was starting with only one beer, but changed it to three when I saw how long it was taking,,, they have this fixation on head as a surrogate for freshness (purity law?) so some bars bias the normal taps to make too much head,, You end up taking too long for a pour waiting for the head to settle, otherwise the glass doesn't get filled to the proper fill line. We must be precise, even when drinking beer in Germany.

Heaven forbid you suggest using a pitcher, but in Munchen they use adequately sized mugs for the October fest, so what's the difference? Sorry no complaints, the bier is fine, and once you work out the tempo of ordering, there is adequate supply.

I can't sprechen zie, but I can drink in many languages...

It looks liek a great forum, but I do not check it that often.  Embarassed

The language is still a bit to difficult for me to follow the good technical threads.  Naja, Das soll mich drucken zu verbesseren. Smile

Babel Fish didn't work too well - so tried a marinated anchovy fillet in my ear and that didn't work either! Agree that pa-forum.de is the better place for German posts but the LAB is still read by our German (and other) friends and all posts regarding thefts have got to be welcomed and appreciated.

Trevor
