Light question
« on: July 19, 2007, 01:10:16 pm »

Greetings lighting pros. As you can probably tell by my post, I'm not a lighting guy.  Very Happy Mostly sound. Is there such a thing as an in-expensive, long lasting, stage light with a Kelvin rating around 5000?

Thanks

Depends upon what you mean by stage lighting fixture... I think Fresnel and Leko given this but am open to beam projector, PC and other types.

5,000K in color temperature, I would start by color correcting my gel but there is other ways to do this in a lamp sense otherwise.

Start with the moving light arch source lamps, yes there are other types of 5,K lamps out there for most fixtures, wide range in color temp in general.

Color correct or in limited type use a color correcting lamp or gel to do so, or use a arc source lamp to get that colortemperature.

Doable but needs refinement given many ways about it.
