Hornresp calculation
« on: January 08, 2009, 12:24:04 PM »

I have a design that I was trying to plug into hornresp and my brain is melting.. would anyone be willing to check it out for meh?

I know its a low quality image - and I can't make out the bottom left corner (21.2?)

Jeff,

I don’t have hornresp but that “horn” hardly has any length to it, and the space in front of the cone should act as a lossy bandpass. Makes for a 80 cm length horn.

I’d expect it to go “thud, thud”.

You might check out the type of cabinet I show in this post from the lounge today (1/08/09):

It is similar size, but almost triple the horn path.

I have used it with 10", 12" and 15" cones, all work well, cramming in the right 18" probably would be OK also.
