WOW, with all the Behr... pieces in these photos (to say nothing of Mackie and Peavey), it's a miracle we have yet to see something like this:

you are kidding me!!  BEHRINGER!!?? Confused   Why didnt you just go with Behringer amps too?  Why even bother spending the money on those amps?  I dont care what the experts are going to tell me about spects and tests...etc.....   Its the worst sounding processor out there.  But hey....its YOUR system...do what you like I guess.

I say to all you guys who have placed your pictures here: "nice racks."  You are all looking pretty organized (much more than me) and using tools chosen for the job, with a recurring theme of being a work in progress (mentions of plans for equipment replacements). Some day I will put mine up and run the risk of getting brand-bashing feedback like the above.

I don't know why everyone is so critical of certain manufacturers....If it does the job then what's the problem.

Most events that I do the artists could care less what I provide as long as it works.  I have been upgrading to move up to the jobs where they do care.  He has a rack of very desirable amplifiers, that in and of itself is enough to impress almost any performer regardless of what processor he uses.  Maybe this is why I see so many bids that say "ABC loudspeakers, properly amplified and processed."  That way it just doesn't matter!

In the Basement we are, NO politics or Religion, Looks clean to me and somehow seems to fit the topic that has strayed off on the wrong path. Maybe this will get the attention back to the thread topic.

That pretty much sums up my way of thinking, Ryan. Most of the people I work for have no idea what I am using, and for all I know they might think Behringer is a brand of wine and Mackie is Cher's dress designer. Smile Hey, sometimes I don't even know what I'm gonna bring until more info about the gig develops.

Over time, I do upgrade as opportunities present themselves, but only out of funds directly generated by the business...this stuff has to pay for itself. Sometimes it is somewhat speculative, as in based on the hope that the A&H GL desk will bring in a better level of gigs than the Mackie SR24-4 it replaced. Like you said, "moving up to the jobs where they do care."

My housemate saw me browsing through this thread and went "Oh, hey! Chelsea Charms!" which is a testament to his character.

No, really, he's a sweet guy. Just lonely.

Well, here's mine to rip on for awhile. Home made Amp Rack with state of the art speaker connections Rolling Eyes  Was thinking on an input panel but it's pretty easy to get to. All in one mixer effect rack, SKB Pop-up bolted to a 12sp Deep USA rack, with holes cut between the Pop-Up and rack for constant continuous connections of effects, CD player, outputs to Eq & Crossover and mixer power. That's about it, nothing great Sad

PS. I did learn how to post multiple pics in showing these though Smile

Ooops, guess not, need more work. Embarassed

Think I got it now Confused

Hey, I used to use a mixer case bolted to a rack with connecting holes. It worked well, but then I built a one-piece mixer-top, rack-front cabinet like the DJs use, and I still have it.

Oh puke! A Mackie mixer!  Laughing  Laughing HAHAHA! Just thought I'd beat the trolls to the punch!  Twisted Evil I have a long and happy relationship with Mackie products and I still own and use several of them today. Rock on!
