Maxim is a reasonably good desk for generics, pretty standard features, reasonably logical.
The PatPad is interesting, some excellent features that are lacking in more advanced consoles. Some features that are really, really annoying.
If you are planning on doing a lot of movers with it, especially different types, I would recommend getting a larger version (L or XL) with more handles, as the 24 gets eaten up really quickly and you'll find yourself page surfing a lot.
Overall, I've been pretty happy using one, there's not much the PatPad can't do compared to other moving light consoles, and assembling looks is quick and easy.
