Has anyone road tested the Yorkville U15P's? How do they do compared to their unpowered brothers?  Matt Jordan

I haven't done side-by-side a comparison but I have used/heard them in similar controlled situations.  I think that the U15P sounds better especially in the low-end.  Yorkville made the U15P cabinet larger to help extend and enhance the low-frequency response.  It definitely worked, the U15P has a warmer and rounder sound to me than the U15 while still maintaining the excellent clarity and arrayability of the Unity horn.  The enhanced low-end response may be less of a factor though if you're going to be using the cabinets with subwoofers.  I'm sure Yorkville also made tweaks with the built-in DSP in the mid/high areas as well but these are harder to quantify without direct, side-by-side comparisons.
