Can PDFs be re-enabled as a valid attachment? Please? The photos I upload are often larger than the PDFs they replace, and otherwise I host content on my personal site which will not exist forever, so that content will be lost at some point unless PSW hosts it.

It isn't likely at this point. It has been determined that PDFs pose a security threat to websites as malware can be encoded in them. I have had this discussion with Mark and Ernie within the past year.
