Mackie Digital Quad EQ

Has anyone had the chance to demo one of these and if so what are your impressions?  At first glance, it doesn't appear to have any ADAT ins and outs.

Why use 8 channel i/o for 4 channel device? AES/EBU or S/PDIF would make more sense if digital i/o would have been used. But it is meant for "Analog Engineers"... Has "impressive light show" though Wink

I've been playing with one of these for about a month.  One of the little blinky lights is intermittent.  Other than that, it's pretty cool. I like that you can use the rta while it's in use, so you can look at the feedback freq's and lower them on the fly.  It sounds fine.

I used it for a about a month. The RTA / Pink noise features are nice when the venue is empty. Once the people are in, the RTA is almost useless. The high/low pass filters are what I used most. Hardly touched the band eq's. In my opinion, it just does what it's supposed to do. It's sounds clean, it works well, etc., but nothing that will blow your socks off.
