"If" I triamp them, I'd probably use what I already have laying around and am not using, which would be a PLX3402 on the 15", a 2402 on the 8" and a 1202 (which I don't have) on the horns. Stereo/mono, it wouldn't matter on these gigs. As much as I like the "look" of the box, I'm a bit mystified that any company could have as bad of QC as Carvin does and tech support that doesn't know, well, shit. I had thought about triamping the cabinets but on these gigs I mentioned, it would be nice to just have one amp rack for the mains and monitors with as few amps as possible. Right now I have 5 amps in the rack and I could at least go to 4 with these running passive (assuming I used subs). If I ran them 3 way with a sub I'd actually have to add an amp. I'm not taking up for Carvin, I'm kinda pissed that they'd actually let anything roll out the door with wiring problems and 8" speakers that truly suck. I can only imagine how many kids in garage bands buy these and blow speaker after speaker and don't know why due to things being wired different from cabinet to cabinet.
