Anyone have a hack to Martin's Software uploader?
« on: January 15, 2007, 04:55:50 AM »

Martin has the DABS software uploader device (about $ 200) and the $1K light jockey USB/DMX device.

I have a few low-end SCX500s that need to be updated.

(Yes I know dealers do it. Thanks - I like to be self-sufficient)

- I have USB to DMX devices.
- I have the latest 5.8 uploader software.
- newest fixture firmware.

Anyone done this without using the DABS unit or the LightJockey Universal USB/DMX box?

Can't imagine Martin caring how the firmware gets uploaded. There is no IP concern as the firmware is freely available on their site.

- The Martin forum does not offer a solution (I've posted there as well)
