PSW chat?
« on: January 05, 2007, 08:29:44 pm »

Thought I'd check out the PSW chat... but neither of the two links I found are up (old and new server?

Is the chat still in operation? Do people use it?

If 1) yes it's up and 2) yes people use it can you please

3) post details on how to get there via web or an IRC client?

Sorry if this is old news, I'm fairly new around here and was thinking the chat was a good idea... Shocked

The chat is usually only filled with people on Sundays.

To get there, I usually use an IRC client and go to:

WILLIAMSLAKE.BC.CA.StarLink-IRC.Org

Then I join #prosound.

The PSW chat has been broken for a couple years. On the classic LAB forum you will see from time to time (every sunday) a thread come to the surface. In that thread, called "sunday chat", there are many different ways shown on how to get there as some people have had problems. Sunday is the traditional sound guy meeting night.

There is a roadie(broadly defined) chat room constantly available on Roadie.net to members(very easy)
There is a group chat on Sunday nights at 9 EST.
I would think that if anyone wants to chat they could post a message in the basement and proceed there.
