Why don't people like EAW KF940's?
« on: December 24, 2006, 09:58:24 AM »

Hey there,

I'm just trying to figure out what I have been doing wrong.  I have been trying to sell a set of 4 EAW KF940s for about a year now without even really getting anyone interested.   As far as I can tell, they are about the baddest subs in the business.  They go down to 21 hz, have a sensitivity of 109 and an average output of about 139 db.  I usually use just a pair powered to powered by an RMX 2450 and they still easily outrun any tops I put with them.  They are heavy, but not that heavy.  I have managed to bring them up and down a truck ramp alone for the past year and half without a single trip to the chiropractor.  I just want to sell them because I'm getting into a smaller show market and don't need subs that size to power a VFW with capacity of less than 50.

But not at the same time, hence the issues of specs.

Also, think you might be pricing them too high. There are too many DIY solutions for guys under a tight budget. Get the right price.. and someone will bite - but assuredly, it's probably less than what you're asking.. or these would have sold a long time ago..

The main reasons:

1. Heavy, are they over 400lbs? Laughing
2. Too BIG, are they like Chevy Sprint or Ford Focus? Laughing

1. Naw, just a mere 293 lbs. (according to factory spec sheet).
2. Well, not as large as a Chevy (Suzuki) Sprint or Ford Focus, but at 32"x36"x52" unlikely to fit inside either one.  Laughing  Laughing
