Sorry I missed that.  The sub is a TCS1800 and the top is a TCS TM112.  The processor is a BSS Omnidrive Compact.

Is any pad such as the Whirlwind up to the task?  Or should I build my own?

The Whirlwind Imp 10dB pad should be fine. After you have the gains back to where they were you should check the response with your analysis system again to be sure.

Since you have such a disparity in level between your mains and your subs, have you tried aux fed subs? The  Omnidrive Compact, both 355 and 366 have 3 inputs so you can run aux fed subs through it. Having more drive to the subs would even out the amp gain difference you currently need.

That's actually a lot better than i was expecting.

I once took similar measurements on an old PL amp and channel to channel variations were a lot larger even close to 0 dB. I am glad they have improved upon that, as it made control next to useless for multi-way active systems.
