Mics are my weak spot, I always end up buying more, I just love them to much!

Yeah, I have a weakness for them, too.  Every design sounds different, has a different pattern, and different off-axis response.  So I gotta have more, it's that simple!

Whatever the artist engineer asks for or whatever I want to take if I'm mixing. Smile  Is this kind topic like a penis size contest or something?  You can tell the men from the boys by the price of their toys or something like that, I guess.

Cheers,
Gabe

Mics are my weak spot..

Sounds like DIs are a weak spot for you as well.  20 Countryman boxes?  I don't think Clair Brothers has that many.

Guilty as charged.

It certainly is nice to have enough Active DI's for almost anything I need.

I'm sort of between mic boxes, since I don't have a regular mixing gig at the moment.  However, I'll throw in my usual suspects with a bit of commentary...

2x CAD e100, the original ones.  Kick drum, mainly, also good for a few other things.  Yes, I did say "kick drum".  Smile
3x Oktava MK-012, good workhorse condensors.
1x Sennheiser MD-441, mainly sax and banjo.
3x CAD C-195, a mostly unknown cheap vocal condensor.  A tad noisy, but they sound quite nice.  Similar to a Shure SM-86?
1x Speaking of which, a Shure SM-86.  Nice unhyped vocal mic, great on some female vocalists.
The usual complement of SM-57 and SM-58...
Some home-brew condensor mics, "Alice" and "Audrey", along with the occasional "Earl" for bluegrass gigs.

Here's my current mic list and a slightly out of date picture I took. I was going to to use the picture on my yet to be created web site. When I finally take time to put the site together I need to do an updated re shoot with better lay out and background.

I'm using: EV QRx212 over JBL SRX718s(2) with Crown IT's and MRX512m & MRX525 on monitors with XTi's; all controlled by Yamaha LS9-32.  I have a bunch of other stuff too.
