First day, testing and documentation.
Second day, listening with music and A/B comparison.
If we choose 12 cabinets and utilize 1/2 hour for testing each, we'll eat up the first day. Then we'll choose which subs will make it to the listening phase during the second day.
Perhaps we should limit this to new, new style, unique and simply massive subs only. Should we shy away from the subs that are well known, have been on the market for years or are of simple design? EG: Front loaded vented double 18. We all know what they sound like and how they perform.
Let's not make this an amp or DSP shootout, I suggest we land on one huge amplifier and one DSP to do it all with, this way, each sub gets the same electronics "voicing" and such.
I'm open to suggestions, folks.
